November: Mum & Baby sewing sessions - Surrey Hills Snug EXCLUSIVE price

Have you always wanted to learn to sew, or have you been looking for an excuse to try sewing again? Come along to my weekly sessions to make sensory and reusable items for your baby!

I‘m so excited that it is being hosted by Surrey Hills Snug, meaning you can bring your baby along!!

Mondays: 1-2pm starting on Monday 9th November

As someone who spent years running a sewing business with babies and toddlers in tow, I am all too aware that sewing is not an easy task during daylight hours, so we will be on hand to help with your children if needed - children up to age 5 are welcome to accompany you if they are happy to play while you sew!

You will learn a new skill, meet some other mums and make some special items that will last a lifetime, all without having to find a babysitter! 

The course cost includes:
Tuition - Up to 5 x 1 hour sessions
A copy of each pattern to keep*
All materials
50% off the afternoon Surrey Hills Snug session (you can pay on the day for this)!

Sewing machine hire is available or you are welcome to bring your own. There is a one-off £5 hire fee to cover wear & tear and is the same for 1 session or all 5.

Over a 5 week period we will make:
Monday 9th November: Week 1: Sensory crinkle toys
Monday 16th November: Week 2: A birthday crown
Monday 23rd November: Week 3: Bunny ears teething toys
Monday 30th November: Week 4: Sensory star wand
Monday 14th December: Week 5: Sensory block

(Please note the 1 week break between weeks 4 and 5) 

You will learn the basics of how to use a machine and end up with items that you will use again and again! 

Only want to attend a couple of sessions?
That’s absolutely fine! I understand that you may not be able to commit to a full half term, so you’re able to book individual weeks. There is a discount for booking all 5 though and you can always pay by Klarna at checkout to spread the cost!

The course requires a minimum of 5 people each week in order to run, so why not bring a friend along and make something together! If the minimum number is not met then unfortunately that session will not go ahead.

Don’t know how to use a sewing machine?
No problem! I can help you set up your machine, I will have machines set up ready to go or you can sign up to a ‘Week 0’ session, which can take place either at your house or mine, where I will teach you the basics in a 45 minute session for just £20 (usually £40!). 

Want to make these items extra special by using some of your baby’s clothes?
Just let me know! You can use your baby’s clothes in the teething toy and sensory block, so just bring them along the week before and I will prep them for you so they’re ready to use! (They will need cutting to size and interfacing so they don’t stretch when you sew with them).

Exclusive to Surrey Hills Snug; stay after for a drink, cake and time to chat
This course cost is exclusive to Surrey Hills Snug and also gives you 50% off their afternoon session…which is where you can sit with a hot or cold drink and cake while your baby enjoys the beautiful toys Zabrina and Emma have available! You can book this session on the day.

There will be refreshments available to purchase during the sewing session, but plenty of experience (and many cold coffees!) have shown that there’s rarely time…and you won’t want to stop!
