Lesson 0 - Learn to use your machine

Lesson 0 is all about teaching you how to use your machine, enabling you to take one of our courses afterwards or learn a life skill to continue your sewing journey independently. It is aimed at people who already own a sewing machine, but mine is available to hire for the evening if required. 

This lesson takes place at my house (RH5) and will last approximately 2-2.5 hours, although this may vary slightly depending on your existing knowledge.

During this session, you will:

Get familiar with the parts of a sewing machine

Learn how to thread the machine and wind a bobbin

Practice sewing straight lines, corners, and curves

Understand basic machine settings and stitch length

Learn simple troubleshooting tips

Build confidence using the foot pedal and controlling speed

Sew a basic project

This session is available either on a one-to-one basis or you can book for two people. Please note that I only have 1 machine, so if you would like to book for two people and only one person needs a machine then please book for 1 + machine hire and add to basket, then book for 1 + no hire. 

This session can be booked for a Monday, Friday or Saturday starting at 9.30am or a weekday evening starting at 7.30pm, depending on availability.
