Launch day is so close!
Welcome to the first Find Your Power blog post!
I can’t tell you how excited I am about launching so many new products this weekend! I really feel that they epitomise what I’m trying to achieve in making children feel supported and helping them know just how amazing they are.
Each of the new products means something slightly different to me, and I hope my passion shines through with each.
Magic Bears have been in the back of my mind for a long time. These were a concept I came up with when my own children were young in order to help them feel safe at night. For my boys, they were a game-changer. Having their magic bear helped them feel protected from bad dreams and like they had a friend right there if they were scared of the dark in the night. They are 8 and 10 now, and both boys still keep their original magic bears close at hand, as well as adopting the very first two Find Your Power magic bears!
I ran a competition to name the bear and ‘Hudson’ was chosen as the winner. This means ‘Brave Ruler’ and is also my surname (I had no idea of the name’s meaning, and now love it even more!).
Matching hoodies are something I’ve been considering for a little while, but I was given the nudge by a customer who requested a hoodie to match her daughter’s, albeit with slightly different wording. She asked for ‘Superpower Mummy’ and I fell in love with this idea immediately. After all, what are parents if not superheroes? Her daughter loves matching with her Mummy, and I will launch complementary ‘Daddy’ hoodies and t-shirts in time for Father’s Day!
Affirmation I AM/YOU ARE t-shirts and hoodies came to me while I was at a cacao ceremony recently. It was a moment in which I felt such calm and such quiet, and it allowed my brain time to stop and evaluate what to create next. Out of nowhere, this idea came to me. Pick 5 affirmations (or write your own) to go on the front of your child’s t-shirt with ‘I AM’ at the centre, and for adults put it on the back of a hoodie with ‘YOU ARE’ in the place of prominence for their children and anyone walking behind them to see. A daily reminder to everyone of how wonderful they are.
Finally, sun caps came about almost by accident! When ordering some stock a few weeks ago, I added one to my basket on a whim and then promptly forgot all about it. While in a creative blur last week, I stumbled across it again and popped the logo on the front. As always, my children can smell a new product, and within minutes it was on my 10 year old’s head. As a full-on pre-teen who is very choosy with what he wears, this was the highest possible compliment, so I immediately added this to the list of new products.
While it may be raining now, the sun will return (I keep telling myself this!) and we all know how important it is that our children wear hats during the day. For this product alone, the logo colours are fully customisable - you can choose any colour from the image chart, or select random and I’ll create something unique!
